Will Kellar
Chief Engineer
Will graduated BA and MEng in 1998
from Cambridge University Engineering Department, specialised
in CFD methods and motorsport aerodynamics.
He continued there, gaining a PhD in 2003 for research
into the methods and application of realistic and practical
geometry modelling and parameterization for CFD and
CFD-optimisation. Research partners included F1 teams
and the Cambridge Engineering Design Centre.
Will joined CFS in 2000, and works mainly for our Motorsport
clients including a number of top F1 teams. His work
ranges from CFD solver development & assessment,
to new post-processing tools and CFD middleware.
Current research areas include: Free-Form-Deformation
and spring-modelling for geometry and mesh deformation;
algorithm development for unstructured mesh generation
and quality control; optimisation in both theory and
application; and post-processing algorithm development
and application.
