Modern turbomachinery design has moved far beyond aerodynamic analysis of the main gas path. This case illustrates a mesh for a complete device, including all internal oil pathways and practical manufacturing details, of 47M cells produced in about 8 minutes using automated curvature detection and feature enhancement.
The moving reference-frames are handled in Boxer via multi-material meshing; the different zones are all meshes simultaneously with a convenient exact-mesh interface produced between.
