Boxer: body conformal meshes with viscous layers

Boxer generates guaranteed quality, body-conformal hybrid meshes with viscous layers for CFD and other physical analysis techniques.

The basic octree mesh refines the volume domain automatically to match features of the incoming geometry model - this octree is then projected, smoothed and optimised down to the body surface to provide a high-quality surface mesh.

There is no smoothing or blurring of sharp geometry corners as with other similar meshing methods; Boxer operates on an exact representation of the underlying geometry. Beyond even this, active feature-detection is planned for our next release.

Viscous layers are then grown off the surface mesh, with cell quality maintained throughout. The software also handles silently and automatically any of the "usual" problems with viscous layer meshing, such as
- layers in tight converging gaps
- proximity detection
- smoothing of background mesh
- collapsing of cells where necessary
