CFD/CAE Application Support Engineer

Your primary role will be to support the application of our leading CFD/CAE software product, Boxer, within our growing Japanese business. Boxer is already in an advanced state and being deployed in Aerospace and Energy via Development Partnerships. Your challenge will be to consolidate existing applications and develop new ones in response to client needs. You will need to spend most of your time embedded on site in Japan working with clients as part of their team. Contact with the main office in Cambridge UK will be maintained by internet/Webex as well as frequent physical visits by members of our UK-based team. You will require good customer facing skills for interaction with our clients as well as good task management and the ability and confidence to work without daily supervision. Accommodation in Japan will be provided; business interactions will be mainly in English but clearly some knowledge of the Japanese language will be essential.

You should have at least 5 years experience in CFD in industry or academia, with excellent proficiency in:
•    FLUENT/CFX/ICEM/FieldView/similar commercial products
•    Scripting and other automated workflow management methodologies

It would be helpful to have some familiarity with
•    Aerospace in general
•    Energy – especially gas turbines
•    FEA analysis, for example ABAQUS or DYNA

Other useful areas of knowledge include:
•    Customer support

You will be joining the company at a very exciting time. Our product development team is set to grow significantly over the next few months, and we require bright and enthusiastic people who wish to play a key part in the success of our team.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience, and will be highly competitive.

An Employees Trust allows CFS staff to benefit from the future success of the company. Cambridge Flow Solutions Ltd is committed to equality of opportunity.
