Geometry/Meshing Software Developer (24GMSD)

Are you a talented Engineering software developer? Are you willing to work at the very heart of a company developing engineering tools including for meshing and geometry manipulation, as we continue to identify and exploit emerging commercial opportunities for our BOXER Software System and BOXERgeom our Digital voxel-based geometry kernel?

We are looking for someone with good understanding of Geometry or Meshing concepts. A person with proven software development experience and working knowledge in one or more of the below topics would be ideal.

·         Generative design, Topology Optimization

·         Voxelized Digital Geometry

·         Level-Set Methods

·         Mesh Adaptation/Refinement/Smoothing

·         3D Graphics and High-end Gaming

·         Geometry tessellation and 3D Printing

We welcome expertise in various programming languages including C, C++, C# and Python.

IT Support Engineer (part time – 15 to 20 hours per week), (ITSupp2024)

We are looking for an engineer to support our office IT system consisting of a network of about 20 Linux workstations & Windows laptops (some with Linux VMware) together with various data repositories (like svn). You will work with our external partner who looks after our servers and Linux clusters. You will be responsible for the interface between our office system and the servers and clusters. The job is part-time and might suit equally someone just starting out as a way to gain an interesting range of experience or someone wishing to scale back into a part time position perhaps to suit family circumstances.

Job Responsibilities include:

·         Maintain the office IT network of workstations and laptops

·         Carry out regular documented  processes and tasks which are considered important for the business continuity and resilience of the company

·         Network monitoring

·         Suggesting improvements to enable efficient use of company technology to staff

·         Provide day to day support for all employees  and dealing with internal IT issues

·         Providing and maintaining adequate up to date IT documentation
